BIOGRAPHY

Padrós Balius comes from a family with a strong tradition in the world of floristry. It was three generations ago that his paternal grandfather started “Flors Zinnia” in Barcelona. Grandfather Pere was one of the founders of the l’Escola d’Art Floral de Catalunya. So from a very young age this young, promising floral designer was interested by the world of flowers, spending his childhood among the flowers and plants of the family florist’s, where he currently works with his father. At 17, he began studying at l’Escola d’Art Floral de Catalunya and from that moment he hasn’t stopped training and working continuously alongside the great Catalan, Spanish and International masters, affording him the chance to get to know different ways of working and living new experiences in the world of floristry. He has also taken courses with renowned florists like Bart Hassam, Britta Ohlrogge, Berit Skjottgaard, Daniel Santamaria or Gregor Lersch among others.

The FLOOS project bets on new, young talent and, without a doubt, Pere Padrós is one. In addition, we draw attention to his unconditional collaboration in all the collections of the master florists who form part of our project.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy on floral design is based on continuous learning and the joy of creating, all whilst working with the flowers and natural materials that Nature offers

 

AWARDS

• 2019. Participation in the Alpe Adria Cup Florist
• 2018. International first prize in the Estonia Cup, as well as third place in the general classification
• 2017. Fourth place in the Arteflorando Cup, Italy
• 2016. Third place finalist in the MAF “Mejor Artesano Florista d'Espanya”
• 2016. First prize in the Junior Barcelona World Flower Cup
