BIOGRAPHY

Gábor Nagy is a Hungarian floral designer based in Budapest. Although he lives in Budapest, he often travels to the countryside to help out at the family flower shop run by his florist mother, Katalin Nagy.

He has been in the world of floristry since he was 13. He wanted to be a doctor but changed his mind and followed the family tradition.

In the last two years, he has participated in many competitions. He has won several floral championships in his home country, like the Hungarian Adult Championship in 2017. That same year, he won the Eurofleurs in Belgium, representing Hungary. He also participated for Hungary in the 2022 European Cup in Poland, coming 2nd.

Gábor usually teaches and gives demonstrations both at home and abroad, works on photo shoots, and has opened a webshop parallel to the family business.

 

PHILOSOPHY

Gábor uses the fine arts: painting, sculpture and graphics, so he likes to mix those and floristry in his style. Working with unusual materials or using the classics distinctly, as well as creating unique designs, are very important to him.
